From December 13-15, 2024, the vibrant city of Jos will be home to an event that promises both nostalgia and inspiration, as Vogkade Solutions Limited presents its veterans' basketball game titled; "In This Great Future, You Can't Forget Your Past" set to take place at the Azi Nyako Youth Centre.
This event celebrates not only the spirit of competition but also the enduring legacy of Plateau and its neighboring State's finest basketball veterans.
The tournament will bring together veteran teams from Plateau and neighboring states for competitive matchups, filled with timeless skills and strategies honed over years of dedication. Fans can look forward to thrilling performances that reflect the heart, grit, and passion these players still bring to the game.
As the games unfold, expect intense rivalries, nostalgic moments, and an inspiring display of resilience from players who once electrified the courts in Jos and beyond. This event honors the veterans for their great service to basketball in Nigeria and abroad. And also as a platform to reconnect them and promote their existing friendships.
If you have never watched Sarkin Dunka Tanko, the great Alhassan Enbago Joseph play, or ever heard of Umaru Abdullahi but have never watched him play? How about the baby faced assassin uncle Japheth Dimka would also be on ground dishing out dimes and cutting in from deep.
The likes of Alhaji Ahmed Abubakar Bahuli, Maikudi Yakubu and Ibrahim Luka? Who most of you have never seen play would grace the court for viewers' delight.
Not forgetting also the likes of Othniel Anzolo, Philemon Dimka, Aliyu Pama Romeo, Dr Chollom Lomak and the newest vet Tmac Moses would all be stars of the forthcoming show.
And don't forget Dunka might just put up his amazing stat line. Maybe.
